The sad news came from the 45th President of the United States (US) Donald Trump. Ivana TrumpDonald Trump’s ex-wife has died at the age of 73.
“(Ivana Trump) died at her home in New York City,” Donald Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social, without giving a cause of death.
“She was a great, beautiful, and extraordinary woman, who lived a great and inspiring life,” Donald Trump said.

“Her pride and joy are her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. She is so proud of them, as we are all very proud of her. Rest in peace, Ivana!” he added in the post.
Ivana’s figure
Ivana Trump, a model who grew up under communist rule in the former Czechoslovakia. She married Donald Trump, then a budding real estate developer, in 1977.
Their first child, Donald Jr., was born in late 1977. Ivanka was born in 1981 and Eric followed in 1984.
Eric Trump also posted a tribute to his mother on his Instagram account. Eric was an accomplished skier during his childhood in Eastern Europe.
“Our mother was an extraordinary woman, a force in business, a world class athlete, a shining beauty, and a caring mother and friend,” the post read.
“He will be greatly missed by his mother, three children and ten grandchildren,” he added.
Throughout the ’80s, the Trump family was one of the most famous couples in New York. Their lavish lifestyle showed the glaring excesses of that decade.
Their power and celebrity grew as Donald Trump’s property business soared. Ivana Trump take on a number of key roles in the business.
Their horrendous split was reportedly partly due to Donald Trump’s affair with actress Marla Maples. The news of their separation provided interesting content for the New York tabloids.
Donald Trump and Ivana Trump divorced in the early 90s and in 1993 the presidential candidate married Maples.
Ivana Trump went on to enjoy a successful business career of her own, developing clothing, jewelry and beauty products and writing a number of books.
Donald Trump’s marriage to Maples lasted until 1999. He married his third and current wife, Melania Trump, in 2005.
