Ivana was born Ivana Zelnickova in Czechoslovakia. At a young age she made it to the national junior ski team, later she became a model. She left her native country in the 1970s.
She was Donald Trump’s first wife. They married in 1977 and had three children together – Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump – and ten grandchildren. Ivana worked for years in her husband’s business empire, running one of his hotel casinos and helping to design interiors. Later in her career, she wrote several bestsellers, including “Raising Trump” and launched her own clothing line.
