OTTAWA —
Canada authorized on Thursday to give Moderna’s vaccine against COVID-19 to preschoolers.
The Canadian health agency said Moderna’s vaccine can be given to children between 6 months and five years old, at a strength of a quarter of the adult dose.
US regulators last month approved the use of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines for preschoolers.
Pfizer’s pediatric vaccine for children 6 months to 5 years of age has been submitted to Canada’s health agency for approval, and is still undergoing testing.
