At the beginning of July, the town hall of Colomiers set up an urban environmental brigade made up of four agents. It is responsible for combating incivilities and phenomena that pollute daily life.
They are four municipal police officers, criss-crossing the columérine streets on their electric bikes. The town hall of Colomiers formalized on July 11, 2022 the creation of its urban environment brigade.
These municipal police officers are in charge to identify, deal with and, if necessary, sanction all the phenomena that pollute everyday life “, announcement the town hall in a press release. It encompasses both incivilities (noise, nuisances, dog excrement) than the problems of maintenance of the hedges or the wild deposits.

The Colomiers environment brigade will therefore patrol to ensure cleanliness streets and public gardens. She will also perform prevention missions encouraging people to respect the environment.
But she can, if necessary, identify offenses by means of an electronic report or make reports in the event of non-compliance with the regulations.
Two brigades of two agents are assigned to these full-time missions. They work six days a week, Monday to Saturday, under the supervision of the Hygiene and Regulations Department. They are therefore assisted by about ten agents from the urban supervision center which manages video protection.
