Temperatures will remain very high this Thursday in the South-West and in the Rhône Valley, but will be milder in Brittany and in the north of the country.
The heat wave continues to hit the country on Thursday. The peak of the heat wave that is hitting all of Western Europe should be reached in Spain while temperatures will still be very high in France this afternoon.
Like Tuesday and Wednesday, it is the south-west which will be the most affected, with 39 degrees expected in Bordeaux and 38 in Toulouse. It will also be warm Limoges, where 36 degrees are expected, and in La Rochelle (32) Biarritz (30) and Montpellier (31).
The heat wave will also be felt in the Rhone Valley, with 37 degrees in Lyon and 38 in Montélimar. The Mediterranean, on the other hand, will be spared: it should do 31 degrees in Nice and 31 in Ajaccio.
Above the Loire, the announced temperatures do not exceed 36 degrees. Brittany should be spared, since 29 degrees are expected in Rennesjust like the north of the country: it will only 24 degrees in Cherbourg and 26 in Lille.
In Paris, 32 degrees are announceda little less than in Strasbourg, where the thermometers should display 35°C.
Sunny skies over most of the country
In the early morning, low clouds will be present this Thursday around the Gulf of Lion but these mists and stratus will dissipate to give way to bright sunshine from mid-morning. The sun will also reign over the vast majority of the country. It will simply be contested by the passage of high clouds over the northern third.
