The actions of these two countries were also highlighted by the coach of the U-19 Indonesia National Team, Shin Tae-yong. The South Korean coach questioned whether the two teams played for real fairplay.
Well, after the accusation of playing it safe, Vietnam and Thailand were both eliminated in the semifinals! Vietnam brushed Malaysia 0-3 and Thailand beaten by Laos 0-2. The 2022 AFF U-19 Cup final brought together Malaysia and Laos.
