Dynamo Dresden signs goalkeeper Heeger and announces two friendlies
Dynamo Dresden has signed goalkeeper Niklas Heeger and given talent Paul Lehmann a professional contract. The 22 and 17-year-old players were convincing in summer training.

Dresden.Third division club Dynamo Dresden has secured the services of Niklas Heeger for the coming season. The goalkeeper was able to prove himself as a tryout in the past few days and was therefore given a one-year contract on Tuesday. “He’s a young and talented goalkeeper who already has some experience in professional football and who also fits perfectly into our team in terms of character,” explained sporting director Ralf Becker.

The 22-year-old was under contract with second division club Karlsruher SC last season. Heeger played two league games for Baden, including a 2-2 win over his new club on Matchday 33. The goalkeeper is moving to SGD on a free transfer as his contract with KSC expired at the end of the season.
In addition, Dynamo Dresden has equipped its youth hopeful Paul Lehmann with a professional contract. The 17-year-old, who was born in Florence on the Elbe, signed a working paper on Wednesday until 2025. “He completed his full training at the SGD and drew more attention to himself in the current summer preparations. Paul is an athletic and physically strong defender who also finds good solutions in the build-up He stands for the path we want to take as a training club,” said Becker.
In recent seasons, Lehmann has played in both the B-Junior Bundesliga and the A-Junior Bundesliga. The 1.90 meter tall defender also played his first junior international match for Germany on May 11, 2022. With the U18s of the DFB, the Dresden talent managed a 4-0 victory over Belgium.

Dynamo also announced two additional friendlies. Next Saturday (2 p.m.) the Dresdeners will welcome the Czech first division team FK Teplice. A day later there will be a clash with Oberliga club FC Oberlausitz in the Spreetal Stadium in Großpostwitz. The games serve to prepare for the league opener on July 23, 2022 against 1860 Munich.
