Another fire in Hanau-Steinheim
During the night, the fire brigade was called to a fire near a residential area in Hanau-Steinheim. According to the police, a green area of 800 square meters burned there. The police are investigating whether there are connections between the fires.

Fires since early April
The series of arson attacks began in early April. Since then there have been several ignitions in Hainburg, Seligenstadt, Obertshausen and Heusenstamm. It burned in fields and meadows as well as in the forest. Most walkers had informed the fire brigade. In some cases, pilots approaching Frankfurt Airport saw flames and sounded the alarm.
Arrested at the end of June
At the end of June, a man was arrested near Obertshausen after walkers discovered flames. The 45-year-old is in custody as a suspected arsonist.
Police believe there is at least one other perpetrator
Police say there is no link between the suspect and the ensuing series of fires. “There is at least one other perpetrator,” said the spokesman.
