The emergency services have responded to a report of an unexplained incident of violence in Trondheim.
The police were notified of the incident at 20.40 through the health service, which had received a telephone call.
– There has been an incident of violence at the tram stables at Lade, the police wrote on Twitter shortly afterwards.
The operations manager in Trøndelag police district confirms to TV 2 that they have several patrols on the spot, but so far no witnesses in the case.
The extent of the damage and the course of events are still unknown.
– There was a man in his 40s lying on the asphalt. He must have been in and out of consciousness, but awake now, says operations manager Håvard Høyem to TV 2, and adds:
– The man was taken to St. Olav’s hospital by ambulance. It is unknown at this time what he did to cause the injuries.
They encourage potential witnesses to contact the police.
– We work on site with investigation and have a couple of names on the block of potential perpetrators, says Høyem.
