Contract N’Golo Kante – The Best Of N’Golo Kante at Chelsea is still valid until the summer of 2023. The 31-year-old player has not been offered a contract extension.
The Blues do have strict rules for players over the age of 30. The contract extension to be granted will not be in the long term.

However, Chelsea is considered not to be releasing the French player this summer. Kante is believed to still be an important part of the team.
Despite that, Chelsea reportedly want to square off to find a successor to N’Golo Kante. There are two names being targeted, namely Matheus Nunes (23 years) from Sporting CP and Guido Rodriguez (28 years) from Real Betis.

Both players are reportedly on the radar of manager Thomas Tuchel. Now for the position of defensive midfielder in Chelsea, Besides Kante, Jorginho is usually filled and there is a player who has graduated from the academy, Billy Gilmour.
However, Chelsea has not made an official offer to recruit one of his targets. There is news, the Blues want to be careful spending in order to maintain the club’s financial stability.
Especially this summer, Chelsea are more focused on finding a new defender first after the abandonment of two defenders namely Ruediger and Christensen after their contracts expired.
N’Golo Kante has been at Chelsea since 2016. His position is irreplaceable.
However, in the last two seasons, Kante has been injured frequently. Hamstring and muscle injuries haunted him.
