SK Slovan Bratislava can look forward to a roaring atmosphere, which is why Dinamo Batumi is now at an advantage. Georgian journalist Laša Kokiashvili told ŠPORT.sk, who also revealed that not everyone in his country knows about coach Vladimír Weiss st. speak in a positive spirit.
Batumi will be driven forward by a sold-out modern arena
Already on Wednesday evening, the Slovak football champion will play on the Georgian soil, with whom he will fight for advancement to the next round in the second match of the 1st preliminary round of the Champions League. However, Dinamo Batumi, which is from the capital of Slovakia, has an advantage brought a 0:0 draw to Georgia and a good feeling about the meeting, although it was completed by one less.
“After the first match, the team is in a very good mood because the result is very favorable for Batumi. In addition, Dinamo will also benefit from a sold-out stadium. Everyone in the club believes that they will eliminate Slovan and move on.” says Georgian journalist Laša Kokiashvili.

The modern Adjarabet Arena will be a great advantage for Dinamo Batumi and a disadvantage for Slovan. The stadium, which was completed only two years ago and can accommodate up to 20,000 spectators, will be bursting at the seams. “When we learned that Batumi would play Slovan, we almost all agreed that the chances were 50:50,” explains Laša Kokiashvili.
“I don’t think much has changed, but a full stadium and the atmosphere created by the fans in the stands can have a significant impact. On this side, the chances are maybe 60:40. All 20,000 tickets were sold out within one week, even before the first match with Slovan. It will be an amazing atmosphere because Batumi has the best fans in Georgia,” warns the Georgian.

Record sales “didn’t hurt” Kvarackeliu Dinamo
Dinamo Batumi managed to complete a record sale of a player, when only 21-year-old fullback Kviča Kvarackeli went to the Italian SSC Napoli for around 10 million euros. For the Batumi team, the loss of a talented youngster is definitely a minus, but according to journalist Laša Kokiashvili, it will have practically no major impact on the team before the rematch with Slovan.
“Essentially, everything was decided before the first kick-off. We were all aware that Kviča will not play in the matches with Slovan, but I don’t think it is a problem for Dinamo. Players and fans knew about it well in advance. The club will then use the money for Kvarackelia in the future. Of course, with Kvič, Batumi would be even stronger, but this team still has quality.” says the Georgian.
Batumi will also face a great talent from the Caucasus in the rematch, as Giorgi Čakvetadze has been wearing the white jersey of Slovan since this summer. However, he is not the only Georgian who defends the colors of the rival Dinamo. Jaba Kankava and Guram Kašia have been working in the Bratislava team since last year. Both are highly respected in Georgia.

“We all respect them very much here. They are legends of Georgian football and you certainly wouldn’t hear anyone say anything bad about them in our country. As for Chakvetadze, we considered him a great hope and we still do.
Before Kvič Kvarackeli, we thought that he would one day become a top player, but several injuries stood in his way. However, we will always wish him success wherever he plays.” said Laša Kokiashvili, who revealed, however, that things are a little different with coach Vladimír Weiss.

Not everyone can speak positively about Weiss
The current skipper of Slovan Bratislava is returning to Georgia after almost two years. He worked in the country for four seasons on the bench of the national team, with which he enjoyed 16 victories, 15 draws and in 16 cases his team came up short.
The most difficult was the loss against North Macedonia. It marked the end of a big dream and a fairy-tale path to a historic promotion to EURO 2020.
Vladimír Weiss senior he made many friends in the country, but there were also those who belonged rather to the opposite group. It was stated by journalist Laša Kokiašili.

“The truth is that people here are divided into two camps – one part respects him, the other does not. The reason is his time spent on the national team bench. It’s not easy for some to talk about him in a positive light, but that doesn’t mean he’s a bad coach. Definitely not,” emphasizes.
“He could have written history with our national team and country, but in the end he was not successful. He made several bad decisions that he could have avoided, but he didn’t. Despite this, many people in our country respect him and consider him a good coach.” concluded for SPORT.sk Lasha Kokiashvili.
The rematch of the 1st preliminary round of the Champions League between Dinamo Batumi and Slovan Bratislava is scheduled for 19:00 CET.
