For the sake of Pertalite, MyPertamina Registrants Reach 80 Thousand Vehicles

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia PT Pertamina (Persero) noted that consumers who registered their vehicles as users of subsidized Pertalite and diesel fuel oil (BBM) as of Sunday (10/7/2022) had reached 80 thousand vehicles. Especially since the registration process opened on July 1 yesterday.

Corporate Secretary PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, said he could not confirm when the restrictions on the purchase of Pertalite and subsidized Solar would be enforced. To be sure, MyPertamina registrants from time to time continue to increase.

“At the end of last week, 80,000 (registrants) have passed,” Irto told CNBC Indonesia, Tuesday (12/7/2022).

According to him, currently his party is still monitoring the progress of the registration process for consumers who want to register their vehicles as recipients of subsidized fuel. Meanwhile, registration is only valid in 11 regions, excluding Jakarta – Bogor – Depok – Tangerang – Bekasi (Jabodetabek).

“Now many areas are also being registered and socialized,” he said.

To note, people who want to register their vehicles can go through several ways. First, you can come to the registration booth that has been provided at Pertamina gas stations. There are officers who will help people register directly. Second, the public can access it independently through the subsiditepat.mypertamina website directly and can access it through the MyPertamina application.

On the other hand, the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) will attempt to control the volume allocation for the supply and distribution of Pertalite and subsidized diesel fuel. Especially if this year there is no additional quota for the two fuel products.

BPH Migas Committee member, Saleh Abdurrahman said that his party is currently calculating how much the potential savings will be if restrictions on the purchase of Pertalite and Solar are imposed.

“Currently, how much savings will be calculated if it is implemented on August 1 or September 1,” Saleh told CNBC Indonesia, Monday (11/7/2022).

According to Saleh, if the consumption of Pertalite this year only increases by 10%, then by the end of the year its consumption is estimated to reach 25 million kilo liters (kl). Meanwhile, if consumption increases by 20%, then by the end of the year consumption is projected to reach 28 million kl.

“To not break down, the regulations are tightened,” he said.

Previously, the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI did not provide a recommendation to increase the Pertalite and Solar quota for this year. In fact, if it is not added, the quota for the two BBM will be over-quota.

In the 2022 State Budget, the Government has set a diesel quota for this year at 15.1 million kiloliters (kl). Meanwhile, the Pertalite quota is 23.05 million kl.

Chairman of the Banggar DPR RI Said Abdullah ensured that there would be no additional quota allocation for Pertalite or Solar. Instead of wanting to provide additional, Said suggested that Pertamina could make restrictions with the program that is currently running.

“There is no additional quota and the pride provides an opportunity for Pertamina to build a system either through MyPertamina or with fingerprints because subsidized goods are goods intended for the lower 40% of the community,” Said told CNBC Indonesia, Friday (8/7/2022).
