After lists have appeared that show the imminent launch of motherboards equipped with the new AMD 600 series of chipsets and AM5 socket, which will be compatible with the future AMD Ryzen 7000, and which will be compatible with technologies such as DDR5 RAM memories and PCIe 5.0 connectivity, both for storage and for graphics cards, the first confirmations of the existence of a mid-range chipset that will be compatible with all this have emerged.
Called the AMD B650E, this chipset, which has not yet been confirmed by AMD, will be the only mid-range one to be compatible with the implementation of new technologies, as with the future high-end chipset, the AMD X670E. This is quite relevant, because until now, AMD had not confirmed the existence of an “Extreme” mid-range chipset, which would be capable of being compatible with all this, with the B650 only being compatible with DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 memories in storage. , as you can see in the following AMD diagram:
If true, the existence of this chipset will add compatibility with PCIe 5.0 graphics cards, although this will imply that motherboards have a more complex and layered integrated circuit board, thus allowing to meet the demanding requirements of this future communication interface. According to the list published by the page Videocardz.comASRock should launch up to five motherboards equipped with this new chipset, with the possibility of a sixth model, created for NZXT, the future N7-B65XT.
