Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi could be in the same team as early as this season.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have dominated international football for almost 15 years. While the two superstars have faced off in countless Clasicos, they could soon be teaming up. As Portuguese transfer insider Pedro Almeida reports, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is already negotiating with Paris.
In any case, it is certain that Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United this summer. The 37-year-old really wants to play in the Champions League and is therefore looking for a new club. While Chelsea were the favorites recently, Paris Saint-Germain is now apparently also getting into transfer poker.
Ronaldo advisor Mendes has already made contact with the French champions and spoke personally to sporting director Luis Campos. In any case, Paris would have the financial possibilities for a transfer – but there is already an oversupply on the offensive. Should Ronaldo actually switch to PSG, then one of the trio Messi, Neymar, Mbappé would have to go to the bench. In any case, the duo Ronaldo/Messi would have its appeal for fans.
