Bob Jungels from Luxembourg became the winner of Sunday’s 9th stage of the Tour de France bicycle race. The twenty-nine-year-old driver of the AG2R Citroën team brought the solo escape to a successful end and triumphed in the famous race for the first time in his career.

Peter Sagan he did not fight for the leading ranks in the first alpine stage of this year’s race itinerary, with a loss of 27:35 minutes to the winner, he occupied the 120th rank. In the overall ranking, Sagan is in 121st place (+1:08:20 h).
“I can’t curse at the telly,” Peter Sagan began his assessment of the stage in an interview for RTVS. “What can I say to that? I don’t even know what. From the beginning, the group went to escape and it was fast until they caught us and then we went as a group,” added the Slovak cyclist.
Monday is a day off, but the riders will definitely not rest. Mass testing of all cyclists for COVID-19 will take place, which may significantly affect the further course of the Tour de France 2022.
