Family of Lion Air JT-610 Co-pilot Opens Voice of ACT Allegedly Leaving Heirs’ Funds

Jakarta

The National Police found that there was an alleged embezzlement of funds for the heirs of the plane crash victims Lion Air JT-610 in 2018. The families of the victims of the Lion Air JT-610 plane were disappointed with the officials ACT.

This disappointment was expressed by Vini Wulandari, the sister of the co-pilot of Lion Air JT-610 which crashed in Karawang in 2018, named Harvino. Vini said that ACT should have submitted a work report before the funds were received from Boeing.

“They also have not provided a work program for the funds that have been given. Before the funds were received, they should have made a program to distribute the funds,” said Vini when contacted, Sunday (10/7/2022).

“But until finally it was discovered that the funds were embezzled. They used the money for personal use. Of course, the victim’s family was very, very disappointed,” he continued.

Vini explained that at that time Boeing provided a number of compensations to be managed by five foundations. In the end, one of the selected foundations was ACT.

“So it doesn’t have to be returned to the victim’s family, so at that time Boeing gave an amount of how many million USD to be distributed to five foundations in Indonesia which were managed by the victim’s family. Just because some of the victims’ families have some, some don’t, we finally agreed to choose five foundation to manage the Boeing funds,” he said.

Vini said the funds were intended for social activities such as handling natural disaster relief. He said the funds received by ACT to be managed at that time amounted to Rp 138 billion.

“The intention is to share if there is an earthquake or maybe he wants to make a work program for children in disadvantaged villages that is social in nature, but because from the start, we have been asked before the money is transferred to the account of each foundation where the work program is. That’s it. The total is Rp. 138 billion. So there is nothing to be returned to the victim’s family, the victim’s family has already received a bigger compensation. So it is purely for the social services given to ACT to be managed,” he added.

Bareskrim Investigate ACT

“That the management of the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) foundation, in this case Ahyudin, as the founder and also chairman, administrator, and supervisor, and Ibnu Khajar, as the chairman of the board, alleged that some of the social funds/CSR funds had been misappropriated from Boeing for their own personal interests in the form of payments. salaries and personal facilities,” said Karo Penmas, Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters Brigadier General Ahmad Ramdhan as reported by detikNews, Saturday (9/7).
