The Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Abderrahmane Benbouzid, reassured on Saturday, on the health situation linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, in Algeria.
For the past few days, the cases of contamination with Covid-19, according to the official daily report of the authorities, have been between 15 and 25 people, while 00 cases were recorded last April.
At the end of the day on Saturday, the Minister of Health visited the nursing staff who ensure the permanence of Eid at the level of certain health structures in the wilaya of Tipaza.
Asked about the epidemiological situation, Professor Abderrahmane Benbouzid, described it as “stable” and this “despite that in other countries (around the world) the figures have started to rise again”, he declared. . And to reassure that the medical staff and our hospitals have acquired “enough experience”. “We are prepared,” said Professor Benbouzid.
The Minister underlined that, by way of comparison concerning our fight against the Coronavirus epidemic with other countries, “we do not measure ourselves against countries which have the same means but, with those which have great means”.
“Thank God, our losses are not like what has been recorded elsewhere”, added Professor Benbouzid, not without paying tribute “to the work of all the citizens, the medical personnel and all those who participated and or affected by the epidemic”.
