Toyota bZ4X is the brand’s first all-electric passenger car, which is also built on a dedicated electric car platform.
The SUV places itself in a tough class, and will compete against models such as Volkswagen ID.4, Ford Mustang Mach-e and Tesla Model Y – to name a few.
Thousands of Norwegians have ordered. It was expected to be one of Norway’s best-selling cars. Maybe even this year’s bestseller.
The plan was for the deliveries to start this summer. That’s not how it will be.
Recall
The background is a recall for all bZ4Xs in North America, Europe and Asia. Globally, about 2,700 cars are covered. The recall takes place after a challenge has been identified with the wheel bolts.
– Toyota puts customer safety first and foremost, and we therefore withhold all the cars involved until the problem is resolved. In Norway, there are a total of 461 cars that have already been produced. There are only a few demonstration cars out at dealers who have received signs so far. We have control over these, and they will not be used until further notice, says information manager Espen Olsen in Toyota Norway.
