The spokeswoman for Russian diplomacy, Maria Zajárova, affirmed this Friday that Western countries “they failed” in his attempt to isolate Russia at the meeting of foreign ministers of the G20 which is celebrated in Indonesia.

“The G7 plan [de las principales economías avanzadas] to boycott Russia in the G20 failed. No one supported western regimes”, the spokeswoman wrote on Telegram.
At the meeting on the Indonesian island of Bali, the Russian minister, Serguéi Lavrov, was absent during the interventions of his Ukrainian and German peers, who criticized the Russian intervention in Ukraine. He was also not present when US Secretary of State Antony Blinken condemned Moscow’s offensive.

The German minister, Annalena Baerbock, stated that Lavrov “is not interested in international cooperation or dialogue with its other partners” of the G20, a forum of the major industrialized and emerging powers.
Zajárova affirmed that those allegations are “totally absurd” and that “German citizens must know that their foreign minister (…) is lying to them”.
