The COVID-19 Task Force issued new rules for domestic travel which were released in Circular Letter Number 21 of 2022 concerning Travel Provisions for Domestic People during the COVID-19 Pandemic. It is stated that travelers who have not been vaccinated against the third COVID-19 or booster vaccine must show a negative COVID-19 test result.
These provisions apply to those who travel using private or public vehicles, air, land, sea, and intercity trains throughout Indonesia. Meanwhile, those who have received the COVID-19 booster vaccine are exempt from the requirement that they test negative for COVID-19.

Domestic Travel Actors (PPDN) with air, sea, land transportation modes using
private or public vehicles, crossings, and intercity trains from and to regions throughout Indonesia, the following provisions apply:
1) PPDN receiving the third dose (booster) vaccination is not required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test.
2) PPDN receiving a second dose of vaccination must show a negative result of the rapid antigen test whose sample is taken within 1 x 24 hours or a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose sample is
taken within 3 x 24 hours before departure as a condition of travel and can carry out a third dose of vaccination (booster) on-site upon departure.
3) PPDN receiving the first dose of vaccination must show a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose sample was taken within 3 x 24 hours before departure as a condition of travel.
4) PPDN with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent them from receiving vaccinations are excluded from the vaccination provisions, but must show a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose sample was taken within 3 x 24 hours before departure and must attach a doctor’s certificate from home Government illness stating that the person concerned has not and/or is unable to take part in the COVID-19 vaccination.
What about the child’s age?
The Task Force does not require groups of children to attach negative COVID-19 test results, both antigens and PCR. As long as there is assistance with the family and they have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
PPDN aged 6-17 are required to show a second dose of vaccine card/certificate without showing a negative result of the RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test. or rapid antigen test,” reads the circular points of the COVID-19 Task Force.
