Parisien Fils-Aimé will be honored in Florida this weekend
It’s a great comeback for the Babas Productions team. The gala dubbed “Le grand Nord en soir” returns after the two-year hiatus imposed by the pandemic. For this edition, the seventeenth, the red carpet will be rolled out in honor of Parisien Fils-Aimé, singer of the Tropicana Orchestra of Haiti. He will be honored for his 56 years of career and loyalty to the orchestra, figurehead of the Far North of our peninsula. On occasion, a ball with the Tropicana Orchestra and Klass is being held on Saturday July 9, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Miami, Florida.

“As its name indicates, this event first and foremost aims to highlight the natives of the far north of Haiti”, these are the first words of Hervé Bastien number 1 of Babas Productions to introduce the evening of July 9. An explanation that fits with the choice of Parisian Fils-Aimé as guest of honor at this edition. Mr. Bastien indicates that this honor is more than deserved when one counts the years of service of Fils-Aimé in the Haitian musical community. “Parisien Fils-Aimé is one of the last of his generation to still hold the torch. And it is normal to thank him before the end. Many of his generation are no longer there. Why wait before honoring it? he explains, specifying that the profile of Parisian Fils-Aimé must be projected as a model in a society like ours where everything is going into a spin.
Those who will make the trip on July 9, 2022 make an appointment with quality and punctuality, says Hervé Bastien. Note that several other personalities from the Far North are expected for this celebration. Let us mention among them Bicha, whose real name is Daniel Fils-Aimé, cousin of Parisian.
The “Grand Nord en soir” gala honored during its previous editions personalities such as the economist Kesner Pharel, the singer Richardson Joseph or the footballer Charly Eliazar. A little doubt about the birthplace of Kesner Pharel? You’re right, he’s not from the Far North, but the organizers make exceptions here and there, especially when the personalities to be honored are worth the effort.
