NARA, KOMPAS.com – The culprit who made Shinzo Abe former Japanese PM shot dead confessing revenge with the politician.
Police on Friday (8/7/2022) said the perpetrator admitted to deliberately targeting Shinzo Abe because he held a grudge against an organization he believed was linked to the former Japanese prime minister.
“The suspect stated that he held a grudge against a certain organization, and he committed the crime because he believed former prime minister Abe had ties to it,” a senior police officer in Japan’s Nara region told reporters. AFP.
However, he declined to provide further details.

Shinzo Abe former Japanese PM shot at 11.30 local time while giving a speech in the city of Nara, near Yamato-Saidaiji Station Friday (8/7/2022).
Quoted from NHK, the perpetrator named Tetsuya Yamagami (41) who lives in the city of Nara. He was charged with attempted murder.
As for Tetsuya Yamagami’s motive for shooting Shinzo Abe, he was dissatisfied with the former Japanese prime minister and wanted to kill him.
The motive was revealed by the perpetrator during interrogation by the police. Tetsuya is currently being held at the Nara Nishi police station.
