Those white wisps in your mouth after brushing your teeth, chances are you have (had) it. Bah! What is it? And more importantly, how do you make sure it doesn’t happen again?
strings
There is a good chance that you have also suffered from this: you brush your teeth in the evening and in the morning you have white wisps in your mouth. It’s like letting go of your skin, because you can pull them out of your mouth (without pain). We wanted to know more about this strange phenomenon and called the Dental Information Point (TIP).
Cause
The Dental Information Point (TIP) informs you: the toothpaste types you use may contain too much fluoride. Many people have an allergy to this, which causes the tissue in your mouth to dissolve and then come loose. Not everyone suffers from this, it just depends on how sensitive your mouth is. It can’t hurt, but it’s annoying. When you have a job interview, suddenly a string hangs from your mouth. That is of course the last thing you want.
The solution
Do you ever suffer from this? Fortunately, TIP also comes with a solution. Their advice is to use toothpaste with less (preferably without) fluoride. Well, there are so many different types of toothpaste for a reason!
