The Quebecer will pocket an amount of 3.5 million dollars per season. His contract also includes a no-move clause.

Fleury was acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks midway through last season. In 56 games last season, he earned 28 wins and had a 2.90 goals-against-average and 0908 save percentage.

The 37-year-old goalkeeper will begin his 20e season in the National Hockey League. With 520 wins, he is the third most successful goalkeeper in history.

Fleury, three-time Stanley Cup champion, also won the Vézina Trophy during the 2021 season.

First overall pick in the 2003 NHL Draft, Fleury had agreed to be traded to Minnesota this winter so as not to be too far away from his family, then located in Chicago.
