It had to be a party for hundreds of Q fever patients. Artists would perform if Douwe Bob and Trijntje Oosterhuis and Jaap Jongbloed would present. The rising corona figures have put a line through this.
In consultation with various medical advisers, it has been decided that it is not responsible for so many relatively vulnerable Q fever patients to come together. As far as is known, it is the first event to be canceled in Brabant due to rising corona figures.
‘Saturday 16 July Herpen’ was noted in at least 400 diaries. The Q-uestion foundation had organized a summer party for its members. Big names were captured because after corona it was high time to get together relaxed again, the foundation thought.
Irresponsible
When the number of corona infections continued to rise, tension within the organization rose. Their fear became reality after consultation with doctors and experts from the GGD. In a gathering of more than 400 people, infections would certainly occur and vaccination could not completely prevent this.
Doctors also concluded that many Q fever patients are still relatively little exposed to the COVID virus and are therefore vulnerable.
Extra precautions, such as one and a half meters away, pre-testing and staying home with complaints, have been considered. But the purpose of the meeting was: to meet each other in a relaxed manner without exclusions. That goal would not be achieved and so Q-uestion has decided to cancel the event and look for a new date.
New date
The 400 visitors have been notified and will be informed of the new date as soon as it is known.
