Russian troops are trying to establish full control over the Luhansk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian forces attacked Kramatorsk, several casualties were reported. Ukrainian officials predict that Kramatorsk will be one of the main targets of the Russian army after the capture of Lisichansk.
On Thursday, the city of Kharkiv was also shelled once again; three people died, five were injured.
Last night, Russian forces launched two missile attacks on the Odesa region, destroying two agricultural hangars.
Ukraine’s military says more than 70% of unguided air missiles fired by Russia miss their targets.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry has summoned the Turkish ambassador after Turkish authorities released a Russian-flagged cargo ship allegedly carrying grain stolen from Ukrainian ports.
Romania, on the other hand, has restored a Soviet-era railway line connecting a port on the Danube River with Ukraine to help boost grain exports. Poland is considering building a grain terminal to help move Ukrainian grain for export.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to start invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine. Putin claimed that NATO was going to use Ukraine as a springboard for aggression against Russia, although there was no evidence for these claims. Ukraine believes that Putin’s real goal is to destroy Ukrainian statehood and bring the territory under Moscow’s control.
Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has caused a general condemnation of the international communityagainst Russia more and more sanctions are introduced. Many western companies have decided to leave the Russian market.
