Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Gasoline prices reached a record high of over Rp. 21,000 per liter in Indonesia. Even aircraft fuel (BBM) or avtur also experienced a significant spike. The price of avtur penetrates up to Rp. 20 thousand per liter in some areas from the previous range of Rp. 11 thousand.

For example, the price of avtur at Indonesia’s largest airport, Soekarno Hatta, Cengkareng (CGK) for domestic flights reaches Rp. 18,431 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of avtur for domestic flights at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali (DPS) reached Rp 19,288 per liter.
Lombok International Airport, West Nusa Tenggara (LOP) IDR 20,145 per liter for domestic flights.
Adisoemarmo International Airport, Solo (SOC), reached Rp 19,599 per liter for domestic flights.
Yogyakarta International Airport, Kulon Progo (YIA) IDR 19,989 per liter for domestic flights.
Kualanamu International Airport, North Sumatra (KNO) IDR 19,221 per liter for domestic flights.
Compared to the initial period of 2022, January 1-14, 2022, the increase in avtur prices does look quite significant.

The increase in avtur prices cannot be separated from soaring global crude oil prices. It is estimated that the price of crude oil in 2022 will still be at the position of US $ 199 per barrel.
OPEC in its monthly report estimates that the average price of Brent crude oil in 2022 is US$ 102.33/barrel. This figure is much higher than 2021 at US$ 63.52/barrel.
Meanwhile, the light sweet or WTI type averages US$ 99.2/barrel in 2022, an increase from last year’s US$ 60.25/barrel.
For the record, the price of Indonesian crude oil (ICP) in June even became the highest in the last 10 years. Indonesia’s ICP is US$ 117.54 per barrel.
