“We reject Russian disinformation and its attempt to use the G20 as a propaganda forum, and Russia has a high-level political interest in whether the G20 meeting could pose a threat to the credibility of the G20. As an EU, we are committed to ensuring the success of the G20 Ministerial Forum in Bali, but we we will not allow Moscow to use the G20 as its own propaganda platform,” she said.
The representative of the European Commission emphasized that the G20 is too important for developing countries and countries with developing economies to allow this body to be destroyed.
“For the EU, the G20 remains a key forum for addressing existing and emerging global challenges, which have intensified since Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine. We must ensure that multilateralism can work in times of crisis,” she added.
