In 2020, Toyota began selling the American Highlander model in Europe, and now, two years later, the Japanese manufacturer has presented an updated version of the SUV. It arrives with more technological changes, leaving aside the cosmetic side of things. The only innovations in the look of the model are the new green color you see in the photos, the 20-inch black wheels and the beige leather in the interior.
The most important news, which affects only the eastern regions of Europe, including in our country, is the 2.4-liter gasoline engine, which replaces the 3.5-liter six-cylinder with which the model was sold until now. The new engine generates 269 horsepower and 418 newton meters. They are transmitted to all four wheels by means of an automatic transmission.

In the interior, we can find new technologies that include a new 12.3-inch digital odometer in front of the driver with several views, according to the driving mode. In the middle of the dashboard is also a new 12.3-inch display for the infotainment system with more functionality, updated graphics and 3D navigation maps. The first deliveries of the updated model begin at the end of 2022.
