The criteria for the Pertalite type of BBM recipient vehicle are stated in the results of the revised Presidential Regulation No. 191 of 2014 concerning Supply, Distribution, and Retail Selling Price of Fuel Oil (BBM). The regulation update follows the unclear criteria for vehicles to receive subsidized fuel in the previous regulation.
Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati said the presidential regulation was in the process of harmonization in the relevant ministries. And certainly will be published at the end of this month.
“The finalization process will come out this month, it’s the government, inter-ministerial harmonization,” Nicke said in a hearing (RDP) with Commission VI DPR RI, Wednesday (6/7/2022).
Normatively, continued Nicke, the criteria for vehicles to receive subsidized fuel are set by the government. Meanwhile, Pertamina as a state-owned company that provides BBM will only implement the regulation.
Currently, the company is taking preparatory steps, one of which is requiring vehicle owners to use the MyPertamina application to purchase subsidized fuel. This process is still in the registration stage.
“In this case, we will follow the decisions made by the government as outlined in the revised Presidential Regulation,” he said
In this change, continued Nicke, the government will determine the type of vehicle up to cubic centimeters (cm3) or CC. Both two and four wheels will be determined how many CC vehicles are entitled to subsidized fuel.
“For example, four-wheeled vehicles are allowed up to 1,500 CC, then automatically above 1,500 CC enter Pertalite it will not come out, that’s the mechanism. So there is no adjustment by person at the gas station,” he said.
