At half past one on Monday night, June 27, the police in Akron, Ohio, wanted to stop a car for violating traffic rules. It did not stop. Thus began a car chase that lasted six minutes.
When the incident was over, driver Jayland Walker (25) lay dead on the ground with 60 gunshot wounds. Activists for black rights refer to the case as cold-blooded murder. Others urge calm.
