Viral, Russian MP urges Putin to aim hypersonic missiles at US

MOSCOW – A member of Parliament Russia went viral after urging the military of the President’s government Vladimir Putin aim hypersonic missile to the region United States of America (USA) . He called for a repeat of the “Cuban Missile Crisis”.

Andrei Gurulyov, a member of the Russian Duma, spoke on state television and discussed the need for a resolution to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Gurulyov said moving Russia’s hypersonic weapons within close proximity of US soil would force President Joe Biden to come to the negotiating table with Russia and stop supplying Ukraine with weapons for the conflict.

In the video that went viral, Gurulyov speaks in Russian but the English translation runs along the bottom of the screen. It is not clear when the footage was recorded.

“Right now, they are sending MLRS [Multiple Launch Rocket System]howitzer, they will send anything there [di Ukraina]to nuclear bombs just to not let us win,” he said, referring to Western countries’ commitments to supply Ukraine with weapons.

“Furthermore, they will send planes, anti-aircraft systems, then anti-missile systems and so on and so forth, they will not calm down,” he said.

Gurulyov went on to describe how Russia was able to succeed in the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.

“Every détente happens after a good crisis, like the détente that followed the Cuban Missile Crisis,” he continued.

“Why? Because during the Cuban Missile Crisis, there was a direct threat to US territory that they didn’t immediately respond to,” he explained.

“We have to create similar circumstances because the US is behind all this and everything else is under their control,” he added.
