Standing ovation, replete with “Blow, wind!” hall, excitement and emotions – this could describe the concert of the band “bet bet”, which took place last weekend in the renovated Liepāja concert garden “Pūt, vējini!”.
As the musicians remind, exactly 30 years ago on this stage the band “bet bet” received the “Liepājas Dzintara” Grand Prix. “That’s why our 30th anniversary concert, which we held last weekend in Liepāja, was really special.
This was a special performance for us. Not only because two people from Liepāja – Guntars and Andris – play in our group, but also because we performed on the stage where exactly 30 years ago, in the summer of 1992, we received our first important award – the Grand Prix of the legendary festival “Liepājas dzintars”!
It’s been a mere 30 years and we’re back on the stage for a revamped version of this stage. We were touched to the core by this opportunity and by the incredibly heartfelt response from the audience. This concert was one of our band’s most emotional moments on stage. Friends on stage, friends in the hall and even friends behind the stage! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this evening to everyone who made it possible!” emphasizes the musician.
