Samsung has released 3 generations of folding smartphones and will follow the fourth. For Samsung, folding screen phones are the future.
President dan Head of MX Business Samsung Electronics, TM Roh in a special interview with detikINET in Jakarta, said optimistically. He said the innovation space is wide open in the world of folding screen phones.
TM Roh says Samsung sees single or non-folding bar smartphones all too common with similar experiences to each other. Samsung thought for years to create a new experience with foldable smartphones.

“We launched the folding phone in 2019, but we started making the concept in 2012,” said TM Roh, Monday (4/7/2022).
During those 7 years Samsung developed folding screen phones. The goal is to provide new and innovative experiences for consumers.
“Foldable phones are not just phones that can be folded into two screens. But the goal is innovation to expand our capabilities by providing new experiences,” he said.
There are some unique experiences that can only be obtained by using a folding screen phone. Precisely with that, Samsung believes that consumers will imagine that there will be no innovation at all.
“I’m sure if people try the foldable themselves, what’s next? What will it be for the consumers?” said TM Roh about the innovation opportunities of folding screen phones.
Samsung consistently gives birth every year Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip every year. 2022 will be the fourth year Samsung will release it. TM Spirit is optimistic that folding screen phones are the future.
“This is the future and Samsung has to make it happen,” said TM Roh.
