Susanna Dosamantes, the mother of Pauline Rubio, died at the age of 74 this July 2 around 11 in the morning in a Miami hospital. Although the cause of her death is unknown, the actress had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in april.
It was the journalist María Luisa Valdés Doria who announced the news on social networks: “Another sad news, Susana Dosamantes has just passed away, my deepest condolences to Paulina Rubio and Enrique Rubio.”
Pauline Rubio confirmed the news with a post on Instagram and a brief press release.
“With my heart in my hand and deep pain I want to inform you that my mother, the beautiful Susana Dosamantes, today begins a new cycle, in total peace and surrounded by her family. My example of life, a being of light, a strong woman , today it is incorporated into the universe”.
The singer thanked the medical staff “for professionally caring for my angel” and asked for “understanding and respect in this difficult time. We ask for privacy for your family and friends“, reads the message.
