Re:Unite parade: 13 Pride trucks paraded through the streets of Salzburg

Saturday afternoon was a colorful day in the city of Salzburg: from 2 p.m., 13 self-designed Pride trucks made their way through the streets of Salzburg at the Re:Unite Parade, starting on Munich’s Bundesstrasse.

Among others, the Salzburg economy “Fuxn”, “Party-Maus”, the “Cave Club” and the dance and nightclub “Die Kantine” were at the start with trucks. The route led from Ignaz-Harrer-Strasse over Lehener Brucke, Bergejägerplatz, Schwarzstrasse, and Makartplatz before the parade stopped at Mirabellplatz.

The final rally took place at 6 p.m. A minute’s silence with the laying of flowers at the rainbow crosswalk in front of Mirabell Palace will conclude the event. This commemorates the victims of war and homophobic violence, and at the same time it is a sign against violence against women.
