At the close of this Friday the 1st. July, Cuba reported 42 new cases of COVID-19, no deaths and 36 medical discharges. There are currently 125 active casesreported the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) in its daily part this Saturday.
At the end of the day on Friday, 348 patients were admitted: 223 suspects and 125 confirmed (active cases).
Of the 125 active cases, 123 have a stable clinical course.
Two patients are treated in intensive care, one in serious condition and the other in critical condition.
During the day, 2,302 samples were processed, of which 42 were positive. The country has accumulated 13,967,156 samples processed, with 1,106,087 positives.
Of the total cases (42):
–18 were contacts of confirmed cases.
–21 with a source of infection abroad.
-In three the source of infection was not specified.
–22 correspond to the female sex, and 20 to the male.
–12 (28.6%) were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis. 147,071 are accumulated, 13.3% of those confirmed to date.
–By age groups: under 20 years old (14), from 20 to 39 years old (15), from 40 to 59 years old (5), from 60 and over (8).
No deaths from COVID-19 were reported this Friday.
Cuba accumulates 8,529 deaths, for a lethality of 0.77% (1.15% in the world and 1.69% in the Americas); two evacuated and 57 returned to their countries.
During the day, 36 medical discharges were registered, bringing the number of patients recovered from the disease to 1,097,374 (99.2%).
