Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lby) – The fans of the Bavarian professional football clubs can plan for the first match days of the new season. The German Football League (DFL) has scheduled the first seven matchdays of the Bundesliga and the first nine matchdays of the 2nd division precisely.

As the DFL announced on Friday, after the start of the 60th Bundesliga season with the game between Eintracht Frankfurt and champions FC Bayern Munich on August 5 (8:30 p.m.), the first home game of the new coach Enrico Maaßen will take place one day later at 3:30 p.m FC Augsburg versus SC Freiburg.

The live broadcasts of the Friday and Sunday games can be seen on DAZN, and Sky broadcasts on Saturdays and in the numerous English weeks. The opening game between Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Bayern will also be broadcast live on free TV on SAT.1.

On the 7th day of the game (3.30 p.m.) on September 17th, after the relegation of SpVgg Greuther Fürth, there will be the only duel in the Bavarian Bundesliga between FC Augsburg and Bayern in the WWK Arena.

In the 2nd Bundesliga, all games will be broadcast by Sky, and Sport1 will also be there on Saturday evening. The opening match between 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Hannover 96 on July 15 will also be broadcast live on free TV on SAT.1 (8:30 p.m.).

For 1. FC Nürnberg, the season begins on July 16 (1 p.m.) with an away game at FC St. Pauli. At the same time Greuther Fürth Holstein welcomes Kiel, SSV Jahn Regensburg expects SV Darmstadt 98.

Due to the World Cup (November 21 to December 18), the first half of the Bundesliga season will be paused after matchday 15. After the winter break, it will continue on January 20, 2023. The season then ends on 27./28. May.
