During the corona period and when monkey pox started doing the rounds, Boris Cruyssaert, press officer at Sensoa, was often presented in the media with tips and explanations. Sensoa is the Flemish expertise center for sexual health. During his visit to ‘De Zomer Van’, he lets his work go for a while and goes in search of artists who used to make the most of the weather, but who are unfortunately no longer featured.
Sensoa is more than scary diseases around the pubic area, Cruyssaert would like to emphasize: “We do not practice sex to prevent it. We must not forget that we also do it, because it is pleasant. So we are not only going to focus on the unpleasant sides of sexuality, but certainly also on the positive development of sexuality.”
If it ever comes to the point in Belgium that abortion rights are also affected here, Sensoa would stand on the barricades: “Unplanned pregnancies and reproductive health are one of our core themes, so we would be very vocal.”
