MENLO PARK – A man reportedly survived death thanks to Apple Watch. Launching from Gizmochina, Friday (1/7/2022), the man managed to survive after taking advantage of the SOS feature on the device.
It was reported that the man was originally adrift in the sea after the kayak he was riding flipped over due to strong winds. The incident occurred on the high seas, 4 kilometers off the north coast of Sydney, Australia.

Luckily he was wearing an Apple Watch which allowed him to signal for help by activating the emergency SOS function. Shortly after the SOS signal was given, he was rescued.
Local officials said the rescue was dramatic. Although the rescue was a bit difficult, but the lucky man was saved from death.
“The man fell from the kayak and had time to swallow a lot of seawater. He was lucky to have a connection on his device to make a desperate call for help,” rescue workers said.
After the kayaker was secured, he was placed in a helicopter and showed signs of exhaustion and hypothermia. With this, Apple again managed to save someone’s life thanks to the embedded technology.
For those who don’t know, the SOS feature is on Apple Watch itself allows users to contact emergency services and also share their location with the relevant authorities.
