Barcelona announced this Thursday that it has reached an agreement with Sixth Street, a leading global investment company (involved in the operation of the Santiago Bernabéu, home of Real Madrid), in a transaction involving 267 million euros.
Sixth Street advances with a capital injection and, in return, will receive 10% of La Liga’s television broadcasting rights for the next 25 years.
The green light was reached after a favorable vote at the Extraordinary General Meeting. A relief for the management of the Catalan club, which will thus be able to advance strongly in this transfer window, in view of next season’s squad, with the Portuguese Bernardo Silva being one of the desired reinforcements.
