North American media “The Athletic” analyst Josh Yohe has expressed the opinion that the performance of Theodore Bluger of the National Hockey League (NHL) Pittsburgh “Penguins” forward changed after he suffered a jaw injury.
On January 23, in a match against the Winnipeg “Jets”, the Latvian got injured by opponent hockey player Brenden Dillon, due to which he missed a month and a half, returning to the field only on March 8. According to Yohe, this situation has had an impact on Blüger’s performance, but he is still a solid asset in the starting lineup in the Pittsburgh club.

“After the jaw injury against the Jets, it wasn’t the Bluger we all know, not even close. At the same time, Teodor is a reliable two-way player who remains a part of the Penguins’ present and future,” the journalist wrote, stressing that replacing the Latvian in the offseason is highly unlikely.
Last season, Blügers scored nine goals and 19 assists in 65 games of the main tournament, while he had one assist in seven “play-off” matches. Theodore’s contract with “Penguins” is also valid for the next season.
