Since being introduced in November 2022, Toyota is now conducting a crash test of the All New Veloz. As a result, one of the Multi Purpose Vehicle cars managed to get a five-star score.
In his official statement, the All New Veloz became the first Toyota vehicle model tested by The New Car Assessment Program for South East Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) using the 2021-2025 protocol. In the new protocol, there are four categories of tests performed.
From testing the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category, the Toyota All New Veloz managed to record a score of 34.88 points. Then the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category got a score of 17.17 points.
Meanwhile, for the Safety Assist (SAT) category, the Toyota All New Veloz managed to get 16.03 points. Meanwhile, from the Motorcyclist Safety (MS) category, the MPV received a score of 11.92 points.
With these results, All New Veloz managed to get a five-star rating from ASEAN NCAP. Overall, the MPV got a total score of 79.99 points.

“We thank ASEAN NCAP for the award given. This is in line with this commitment in providing safe, easy and comfortable mobility,” said Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Anton Jimmi Suwandy.
Discussing the safety side, the Toyota All New Veloz has been equipped with Toyota Safety Sense or TSS technology. This feature was first introduced in 2015 as an active safety feature device which was developed to reduce accidents in accordance with the concept of supporting drivers.
The All New Veloz is equipped with active safety features that rely on sensors and radar, namely the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) (Q CVT TSS). The TSS on the All New Veloz consists of four safety features, namely Pre-Collision Warning and Pre-Collision Braking, Pedal Misoperation Control, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Departure Prevention, and Front Departure Alert.
“Because for us, customer safety when moving is a top priority. For that, from the start, the idea of creating an advanced 7-seater MPV equipped with complete safety technology and features, including Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), has indeed been the basis for the development of the All New Veloz. ,” he said.
