In the midst of all the negative news about ever-increasing prices, it’s a good idea to come up with something more pleasant sometimes. And the traders themselves are aware of this. In previous months, they managed to increase margins very nicely, especially when it comes to grocery stores. It is already common knowledge that they have become more expensive than food producers sell their products more expensively.
Attraction for customers
One of the proofs that standard food prices have risen a lot is the fact that traders have still been able to keep price action at about the same or only slightly higher values. What do we mean by that? If you shop at normal prices, you will pay a lot extra. But suddenly a certain product goes into action and suddenly there is a 60% discount, while previously it only needed 40%. In action, you can still buy just as conveniently.
Of course, traders can afford it because margins at current prices are significantly higher and can be reduced to a lower level. Most of them do so only in their regular special offers.
However, the first swallows appear, which try to take advantage of the situation and make it cheaper. Some time ago, this was announced, for example, by the Žabka chain, which reduced the price of more than 200 items of basic necessities. And now he has been joined by an even more important player on the market, even one of the most important. This is no one less than Tesco.
It decided to go its own way. It responded to the rise in prices, which is plaguing a large part of the Czech population, with a tempting incentive. It has reduced the number of customers’ most popular items, and indeed significantly. What, for example, cost 50 crowns, today is available for 35, etc.
Clearly marked products
These are mainly things that people buy most often, such as drinks, confectionery, dairy products, sausages, etc. Of course, not everything has become cheaper. These are always only selected products from the given category, but there are quite a few of them, at first glance.
The big advantage of the whole thing is that you will know at a glance which items are significantly discounted. They are marked with a visible Clubcard sign. This club card is also a condition for purchasing at these prices. But they will issue it to you in every store while you wait, so it is not an obstacle. When buying, you just must not forget to let it load.
