Israel: Nearly 12,000 New Cases Of Coronavirus Identified In 24 Hours

10,946 people have died from the virus since March 2020

The Israeli Ministry of Health reported on the results of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, recording 11,949 new cases in 24 hours. All indicators are on the rise confirming the presence of a 6th wave of infections.

The number of patients in serious condition continues to increase: currently 293 people are hospitalized in serious condition, including 49 in critical condition and 41 on artificial respirators.

More than 64,000 active cases have been identified and the screening test positivity rate is more than 32%.

10,946 people have died from the virus since March 2020.

While contamination has been increasing at a rapid rate for several days, health authorities are calling for respect for barrier gestures and recommending the wearing of masks in enclosed spaces.

A 5th dose of vaccine could be administered to the most vulnerable in the coming weeks.
