Nearly 1.5 tons of waste was collected, as well as 150 euros! Enough to encourage more volunteers to participate in the next cleaning operation.
On the initiative of the Approved Municipal Hunting Association (Acca) of Sorède, with the support of the town hall, the Approved Association for Fishing and the Protection of the Aquatic Environment (AAPPMA), the Cotcolleda, the children of the group André-Cavaillé school, joined by other volunteers, cleaned up several areas of the village on Saturday June 18.
On the tracks of the two Gabarres, from the road from Palau to the Mas Fontés, from the rue de La Cotcolleda, the ford crossings and the gymnasium, nearly 1.5 tonnes of waste was collected and will be deposited at the recycling center by the municipal officials. If the traditional tires were picked up, more surprising was the discovery of 150 €. Could this be an incentive operation for new volunteers to participate in the next citizen cleaning operation?
