What other than IKEA?
It is true that Hlobil did not drive a million miles alone. He bought the car when it was already solidly used with 157,000 kilometers on the tachometer. But he took care of the remaining 843 thousand himself. He worked for the furniture giant IKEA and commuted between Prague, Ostrava, Bratislava and Budapest to work. “Driving over six thousand kilometers a month was no problem,” he says.
On the Volvo V70, he appreciated its “box” shape, thanks to which everything fit into it. This helped not only on trips to Croatia, but also his son, who was seriously ill and needed to carry equipment. By the way, Mr. Hlobil used the service in Olomouc for the last half a million kilometers, where they once helped him with a major defect on the way from Ostrava to Prague.
“The exhaust is original, so is the engine, it even has an original turbo. I just changed the injections in about 350 thousand – one left, so I preferred to change all of them. Sometimes at that time I had to change the transmission, but since then I have driven over 650 thousand kilometers on the new one and it works perfectly, “says the owner proudly, noting that the front shock absorbers have changed twice and once the rear shock absorber has been replaced once, regularly the mounting of the engine and shock absorbers also changed.
