“The Ukrainian side can stop everything before the end of today,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday (28/6/2022).
“An order for the nationalist units to lay down their arms is necessary,” he said, adding that Kiev had to meet Moscow’s list of demands.

On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged world powers to do their utmost to help end Russia’s offensive by the end of the year.
He also said the time had not yet come to hold talks with Russia, as Kiev was trying to consolidate its position.

Asked to comment on Zelensky’s remarks, Peskov said: “We are guided by our president’s statement, the special military operation went according to plan and achieved its objectives.”
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the G20 summit in Indonesia this November.
