Prior to the meeting with Sirius, Oscar Vilhelmsson had started in nine of the team’s ten Allsvenskan matches. During the summer break, he visited several clubs, including the Czech Slavia Prague. There has not been a transition yet, but the trip meant that he missed some training with Blåvitt.
Against Sirius, Vilhelmsson was in the squad – but was not allowed to start. The striker jumped in in the 93rd minute.
– That was the idea before the match. I have not had much training, then it will be like that. Then we talked to each other and have a good relationship. We have discussed how we want to do it, but we keep it between us.
Mikael Stahre said at the press conference that it had something to do with Slavia Prague – how do you see it?
– That’s how it is. That’s how it works. There is a lot to think about and where to focus. These are things that are in my head.
What then?
– No comments. We’ll see.
Why is Slavia Prague interesting to you?
– I was around on a little different things. It was these clubs I fell for the most. I liked how it was there and what their plan looked like to me.
Were it Vitesse and Groningen too?
– Yes. There have been other clubs as well who have been interested but who do not have the same budget to join.
Will it be ready?
– I can not say much about it. We’ll see.
Later on Monday night reported Expressen that FC Groningen, which the striker also visited, made an offer for Vilhemsson – and claims that the striker can be sold soon. It is not clear what the bid is for or what position Blåvitt has taken.
