Regarding the alleged modifications to the content of the textbooks, the federal official replied that some issues are still under analysis and it will be until the federal SEP defines the guidelines very well, when the final materials are released.
“Some issues are still under analysis, elements that are going to be included and when the books arrive, we will review them and see what changes are finally applied,” he asserted.
Balam Varguez explained that the distribution of books is a process that takes place every year, before the new school year begins. “They send us the information and we follow up on the textbooks to coordinate with the State Secretariat so that the copies arrive on time,” he said.
He pointed out that unlike the previous two years, when the books were delivered to parents by appointment and in stages due to the coronavirus pandemic, this time there will be a different mechanism, since the schools already have with nearly 100 percent student attendance.
